PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL), the region’s main cement producer, has announced a 12 per cent increase in the cost of the commodity on the Caribbean market. TCL said the substantial increases in the cost of raw materials had forced it to increase the price of cement for the second time this year. In February, the company increased its price by 8.5 per cent. But it described the new increases, which take effect on September 1, as “minimal”.
