CROSQ official declares Caribbean
businesses must meet international standards to
compete globally

A regional standards spokeswoman has sought to warn operators
of small and medium-sized businesses in the Caribbean
that it cannot be business as usual, if they are serious
about competing globally.
Camella Rhone, the executive secretary of the Caribbean
Community Regional Organization for Standards and Quality
(CROSQ), has cautioned these enterprises that though they
currently account for a significant portion of the region’s
total exports, they must strengthen their international
competitiveness, as well as adhere to documented codes
of practices.
